The Weekend

Our weekend started a little earlier in the week as we made a last minute decision to drive to Highland, UT on Thursday afternoon and then planned to return home Friday evening, but we ended up staying and leaving around 5:45 Saturday morning so that we could get home and still salvage a Saturday. The reason for our quick trip was so that we could see a very dear friend of mine (as well as her family). It has been about 3 years since we last saw each other and back then she wasn't married although she had been dating the guy who she is now married to. They had traveled from Indiana for a family reunion out in Utah and since long days and nights, traveling, and crankiness was keeping them from coming our way I just couldn't miss the opportunity to see them. I'm so grateful for Adam to make arrangements for work and taking the time to come with me, so that he could meet these good friends that have had a great impact on my life. As we left Thursday we went through Cedar Mountain to an area called Strawberry, where Adam did a quick measurement on a roof. From there we traveled another route on Highway 89 towards Provo/Highland area. Adam said the last time he had gone that way was when he was a kid, so who would of guessed that we would have wondered a few times if we were lost or just really out of the way of where we wanted to be. We did make it to Highland and spent a late night visiting with Adam's older sister Angelyn and her family. Adam's parents were there as well just wrapping up a week long visit and headed home Friday morning. It was at that time that Adam finished putting the estimate together for the roof he had just finished measuring on our way there and then we tried to get it faxed to the general contractor. In the second picture Tyson is enjoying some popcorn at his leisure. After that we spent the afternoon with my friends' and their family. These pictures are of their two children, Logan and Laney and then one with my friend. Her husband was on the phone during the picture taking time. After getting back to Angelyn and Dave's home we decided to stay one more night so as not to be sitting in Friday night traffic. Adam spent time playing with his nephews out on the trampoline, playing dodgeball downstairs, and some type of Xbox or one of those types of games. We had an enjoyable time.
